Pakistani supplier makes jalebi using a 3D printer nozzle.

Billionaire Anand Mahindra shared a video showing a Pakistani street vendor in Faisalabad using a 3D printer nozzle to make jalebis. Despite being a self-professed technology enthusiast, Mahindra expressed “mixed feelings” about the modern method and stressed his fondness for the traditional art of pressing dough by hand. The video also showed two people using tongs to spread the jalebis in hot oil. “I am a tech buff, but I must admit that I had mixed feelings when I saw jalebis being made using a 3D printer nozzle. They are my favorite and seeing the dough being pressed by hand is an art form to me. I guess I’m more old-fashioned than I thought,” Mahindra wrote

Mahindra’s tweet, posted a few hours ago, has received over 2.9 million views and sparked reactions from X users.

This is how social media users react to the video:

“Modern problems require modern solutions – Anand Mahindra sir,” one person wrote.

Another added: “This doesn’t even look good. No to that. Handcrafted jalebis are the best.”

“Technology has changed the world,” commented a third.

A fourth commented: “Sir, I absolutely agree. Nothing can replace the art of hands and the feelings that go into making such delicacies. I hope we don’t miss out on all of this in the long run.”

“And these jalebis don’t look like the originals either,” shared a fifth.
